Call for Applications for the Wiener Festwochen Scholarship Programme

Wiener Festwochen, one of the largest and most renowned theatre festivals in Europe, has launched the call for applications for the "In the Field" scholarship programme. It is aimed at aspiring artists and cultural practitioners and students within a radius of 300 km from Vienna - from the Austrian provinces as well as Slovakia, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Croatia. 

The 15 selected candidates will be invited to Vienna from 27 May to 5 June 2022 to observe festival events and performances of the Wiener Festwochen, attend professional events and share their impressions and experiences with international and national artists.

The study programme is designed to create a space for dialogue and inspiration, as well as a practical insight into the structures and working methods of the artistic and cultural business. Participation is free of charge for selected participants and includes tickets, accommodation, and travel expenses by train up to a maximum of €200.
